<notes>This time I choose to stand front left, right next to Alan's monitor. Saw the guitar speaker facing me and thought for a second that perhaps another position would have made a much better recording. But I had a great view, so I didn't move. Better should have done it though, since this recording is very loud on the guitar, then the bass, and the drums and vocals are very distant. I'm pretty sure that the sound was much beter balanced further back from stage.
In some of the quiet parts, the tapping you hear is Alan's foot. The clicking noises you hear during Belarus is him ticking with his guitar's power plug onto the guitar. During Pissing we had to strap ourselves with duct tape to the stage, otherwise the vibrations coming from Matt's bass amp would have blown us right out of the Paradiso.
If you're wondering why there were so many cops on the street that night, see this picture, taken in the afternoon: http://www.volkskrant.nl/multimedia/archive/00086/Huldiging_86396b.jpg
The support act Death Vessel was also taped, but unfortunately he was pretty much covered under the audience chatter. If you want a better sounding recording of his shows, check out the other one I did of him in Münster.</notes>
